36 Years After Man Convicted of 1st-Degree Felony Murder, Massachusetts High Court Grants Him New Trial
The Massachusetts Supreme Court ruled that Joseph Pope, a man convicted of first-degree felony murder in 1986, will get a new trial because the prosecution’s “nondisclosure” of then-Assistant District Attorney Robert Goodale’s shooting-scene notes and memo “constituted a violation of its Brady obligation.”
