The court reversed a district court’s granting of summary judgment to Larry R. Hedlund, concluding that the 2019 Iowa Code section 70A.28(5)(a) didn’t apply retrospectively to Hedlund’s claim for wrongful discharge under 70A.28, Iowa’s whistleblower-protection law.
