A federal judge denied the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality’s motion for summary judgment when it came to plaintiff’s claims pertaining to a male’s higher starting wages in 2014, finding it unclear whether relevant experience differential existed between the employees, and, if so, whether it convincingly explains the decision to pay the male employee $12,000 more to perform the same “senior” level job.
